In the 7th minute, Cleto Stanislao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eloy Elivareo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Lázaro Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Elivareo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Stanislao in the 14th minute of play forced Olaen FC's goalkeeper Eloy Elivareo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Giraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute Cleto Stanislao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Elivareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Lázaro Giraldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreto AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Giraldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Elivareo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lázaro Giraldo struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Eloy Elivareo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barreto AFC. 29 minutes into the match, Olaen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Giraldo came free, but Eloy Elivareo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Cleto Stanislao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barreto AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 44 minutes into the match, Barreto AFC's goalkeeper Anastasio Bibiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Baumer. Olaen FC's Paulino Montay got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cleto Stanislao to make the kick off. Eloy Elivareo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Justino Donostia. Tiburcio Erdiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Bibiano having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Paulino Montay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleto Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cleto Stanislao kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eloy Elivareo. That made the score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. Eloy Elivareo made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Lázaro Giraldo sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Eloy Elivareo managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Barreto AFC's Lázaro Giraldo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lázaro Giraldo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Eloy Elivareo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oscar Lehior's late challenge caught a Olaen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Lehior helped the player get up and apologised. 91 minutes in the game, Cleto Stanislao fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eloy Elivareo having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Oscar Lehior had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 92 minutes, Paulino Montay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olaen FC and the Barreto AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lázaro Giraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Olaen FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Marcones. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barreto AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
