In the 6th minute, Anier Asur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute Anier Asur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Errolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Errolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Handi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Handi in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Errolan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anier Asur struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ivan Errolan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tinoco. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Tinoco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salto:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Salto's zone, Victorino Handi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Errolan came out of the goal and Victorino Handi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Iker Giraldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Giraldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Sol during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leo Sol hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Leo Lesardo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Marcial Bento to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Anier Asur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Errolan was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Iker Giraldo came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcial Bento could save by the left post. Iker Giraldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcial Bento came out and tried to block the shot, but Iker Giraldo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Lesardo made a kick off. A collision led to Tinoco getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Albino Pere hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the game, Santos Nevada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tinoco the free kick. Santos Nevada hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match.
