With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Bazkoare in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Frutos saved Elertondo FC from getting behind. Ciro Frutos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Bazkoare, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hugo Lauren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charaday AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Lauren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Frutos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Charaday AFC's goalkeeper Gaspar Eli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celso Azeari. Ciro Frutos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Lauren in the 23rd minute of play. Celso Azeari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute of the match, Celso Azeari got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gaspar Eli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 28th match minute, Elertondo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Indalecio to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Charaday AFC's Hugo Lauren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Frutos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Elertondo FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Eleuterio Etxahun hit a great ball. Martin Restu struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Gaspar Eli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elertondo FC.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Lauren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filomeno Indalecio kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gaspar Eli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Azeari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 71 minutes, Hugo Lauren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charaday AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Lauren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charaday AFC's Fulgencio Estebano suffered a concussion after 72 minutes and had to leave the field. Tadeo Gines's late challenge caught a Charaday AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Charaday AFC's zone, Celso Azeari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Eli came out of the goal and Celso Azeari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charaday AFC's Gaspar Eli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Restu in the 80th minute of play. If Julian Bazkoare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio James received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ciro Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Bazkoare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ciro Frutos made a huge save. 95 minutes into the game, Elertondo FC's Celso Azeari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Eli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Charaday AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
