Rigby AFC's Oscar Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Rigby AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Luzaide came free, but Rodolfo Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Oscar Gomesano came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Rigby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Gomesano couldn't finish the play. In the 27th match minute, Candelaria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Amato to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Celio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Gomesano, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Melquiades Mark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Melquiades Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Frances saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Candelaria FC booed when Rigby AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Menendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Evelio Luzaide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Luzaide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodolfo Frances showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Mark in the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to Rigby AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cristobal Menendo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Melquiades Mark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Frances was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Rigby AFC's Rodolfo Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Mark in the 47th minute of play. The Rigby AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Candelaria FC were winning 0-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Gomesano in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Celio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Evelio Luzaide came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Candelaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Luzaide couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Celio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Gomesano's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Domingo Azubeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Celio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Luzaide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rodolfo Frances tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Celio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Azubeli in the 80th minute of play. Rigby AFC's Oscar Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Omar Camerino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Melchor Hunfredo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Candelaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Hunfredo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Rigby AFC's Omar Camerino got a free kick in the 91st minute.
