In the 5th minute, Severiano Gartxot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viamonte FC's Roberto Lando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Elizardo in the 11th minute of play. Camilo Moise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Urko in the 14th minute of the match. If Hermengildo Urko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severiano Gartxot in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Lando saved Viamonte FC from getting behind. If Manuel Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Manuel Frascuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Frascuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severiano Gartxot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Lando having to interfere. The Viamonte FC fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Viamonte FC's Manuel Frascuelo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severiano Gartxot was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tortugas's zone, Manuel Frascuelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Moise came out of the goal and Manuel Frascuelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Tortugas's Severiano Gartxot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Lando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ciriaco Elizardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Lando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciriaco Elizardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Generoso Playo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Urko in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Moise prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hermengildo Urko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Moise having to interfere. Ciriaco Elizardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Lando having to make a save. Viamonte FC's Hermengildo Urko got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Viamonte FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adriana Elizardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Tortugas's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Viamonte FC had won after a very even match.
