Alvaro Nardo hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, Escalchi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Gau came free, but Evelio Salbatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Salbatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Gau, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 15thth minute of the game Gerardo Gau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escalchi AFC's Evelio Salbatore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adan Bernal got free with Evelio Salbatore in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 20 minutes, Gerardo Gau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garrayalde FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Gau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Alvaro Nardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Gerardo Gau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garrayalde FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Gau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Salbatore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adan Bernal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Evelio Salbatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evelio Salbatore was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerardo Gau showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. If Adan Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Nardo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Luciano Valentine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Garrayalde FC. Luis Cebo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evelio Salbatore. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Gau in the 57th minute of play forced Escalchi AFC's goalkeeper Evelio Salbatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adan Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Salbatore having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Luciano Valentine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evelio Salbatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Gau in the 76th minute of play. If Adan Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luciano Valentine came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Escalchi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Valentine couldn't finish the play. Evelio Salbatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Gau, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Evelio Salbatore came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Garrayalde FC's Gerardo Gau. But to his dismay, Gerardo Gau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gerardo Gau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Evelio Salbatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Garrayalde FC had won after a very even match.
