Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Salvador Colon kicked off to start the match. When Placido Lico came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Salto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Lico couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Colon in the 9th minute of play forced Goicó FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Colon got in the 12th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ladislao Handi handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Patricio Marz, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Denis Jerrold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Gomesano, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Placido Lico might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ladislao Handi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Placido Lico ran back to his position shaking his head. Adrian Urbasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Jerrold made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Adrian Urbasa sent off a good shot on target. After 41 minutes, Bonifacio Bizen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goicó FC and the Salto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bonifacio Bizen hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. A collision led to Goicó FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Benito Cerilo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Lico in the 45th minute of play forced Goicó FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salto FC's Salvador Colon got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Adrian Urbasa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Salto FC's Denis Jerrold. Denis Jerrold was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th minute, one of Salto FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Salto FC. 64 minutes into the match, Goicó FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Handi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Placido Lico. Salto FC's Placido Lico got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Jerrold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Urbasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 78th minute of the match Edelmiro Galoer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denis Jerrold skillfully saved the ball. Ladislao Handi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Lico in the 81st minute. If Pablo Gomesano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Salto FC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Sarracino. Goicó FC's Adrian Urbasa got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ladislao Handi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Salto FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
