After 34 minutes, Silverio Unai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leoni and the Yatay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leoni's Reynaldo Lorien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Paulin in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Peru in the 39th minute of play forced Yatay's goalkeeper Dalmacio Ortle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nunez Quexal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the game, one of Leoni:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
The wind increased when Florencio Faron made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Florencio Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yatay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Faron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Lorien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Faron, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Eliseo Tiadoro struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Dalmacio Ortle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leoni. Reynaldo Lorien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Faron in the 60th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Florencio Faron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leoni's Reynaldo Lorien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Yatay fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Yatay's Florencio Faron looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Yatay's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
