Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Salvador Marz got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Salvador Marz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernan Oxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ariel Leheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Hernan Oxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Oxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Arturo Udalaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Leheren having to interfere. Ariel Leheren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Udalaitz's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. If Aristides Elivareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvador Marz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hermengildo Videl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Salvador Marz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Charrillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Marz couldn't finish the play. Hermengildo Videl came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Charrillos's Salvador Marz. But to his dismay, Salvador Marz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A hard shot 28 in the game by Enrique Artaldo from a close distance when the talented Hermengildo Videl managed to make a qualified save. Ayajasco FC's players were relieved. In the 34th minute, Enrique Artaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jonathan Rexino fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ayajasco FC's protests and gave Jonathan Rexino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute Aristides Elivareo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Claudio Baristo's late challenge caught a Charrillos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudio Baristo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Charrillos booed when Ayajasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Baristo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Artaldo struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Hermengildo Videl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charrillos. If Enrique Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Udalaitz was the one to do the kick off. Ariel Leheren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Udalaitz in the 56th minute of the match. Gavino Menendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Videl having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Victorio Loren put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Charrillos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ayajasco FC:s goal. Arturo Udalaitz struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Charrillos's Ariel Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Udalaitz in the 88th minute of play. Arturo Udalaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
