The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Celedonio Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Fernanco in the 19th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Bertol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Matambre AFC's Natalio Curcio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Conrado Bertol. Conrado Bertol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Piedritas FC's goalkeeper Conrado Bertol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Piedritas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Curcio came free, but Conrado Bertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Fernanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Lastur having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Celedonio Lastur made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ildefonso Cidro sent off a good shot on target. Danilo Hermelando took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conrado Bertol. Conrado Bertol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natalio Curcio in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Bertol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Piedritas FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Elpidio Fernanco hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Piedritas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Hermelando came free, but Conrado Bertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Piedritas FC's Natalio Chuan got a free kick in the 77th minute. Cosme Harkaitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Conrado Bertol. Piedritas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 78th minute, Natalio Chuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natalio Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Piedritas FC's Conrado Bertol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Hermelando in the 92nd minute of play. Celedonio Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Matambre AFC had won after a very even match.
