Carpintería's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frontera the free kick. After a rather tough play, Carpintería's Uriel Luzea got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Mauro Hotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Frontera's Mauro Hotz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Pinto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Gregorio Abastas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nunez Hegoi. The goal made the score 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Carpintería's Uriel Luzea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nunez Hegoi. That made the score 3-0 after 47 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Obano to strike the kick off in the second half. Mauro Hotz might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Hotz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gregorio Abastas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Hotz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tobias Pinto. That made the score 3-2 in the 63 minute of play. After 70 minutes, Rodrigo Obano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carpintería and the Frontera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mauro Hotz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tobias Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Hotz in the 84th minute of the match. Apolo Saturnin charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolo Saturnin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
