The ball had pretty good speed, but Herminio Urtzi firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 5 played minutes, Guampacha's Ceferino Ubendu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonzalo Fe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guampacha reached it. Uriel Marz scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonzalo Fe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Uriel Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Uriel Marz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guampacha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zapala! Luisito Sandalio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Urtzi having to interfere. Zapala's Fulgencio Filipo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Guampacha were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

0-4 became the score in the 54th minute when Florencio Berbiz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luisito Sandalio took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herminio Urtzi. Herminio Urtzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Guampacha's zone, Luisito Sandalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Urtzi came out of the goal and Luisito Sandalio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florencio Berbiz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guampacha's goalkeeper Herminio Urtzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leandro Senon charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Senon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leandro Senon kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Herminio Urtzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Sandalio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Luisito Sandalio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herminio Urtzi was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 80th match minute, Zapala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Cresencio to maneuver through the defense. Guampacha's Florencio Berbiz got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The goalkeeper, Gonzalo Fe, was totally fooled by Guampacha's Silvio Osoro, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 94th minute, Uriel Marz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
