Eusebio Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Rosario in the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ocampo's Omar Balasi got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 17thth minute of the game Aureliano Rosario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Redonda AFC's Eusebio Lapurdi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aristides Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Criston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Criston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Aristides Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Florentino Fernado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eusebio Lapurdi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Omar Balasi fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ocampo's protests and gave Omar Balasi a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Ocampo got a freekick which was hit by Omar Balasi. Anibal Aballe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Aristides Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ocampo's zone, Ildefonso Criston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Pinto came out of the goal and Ildefonso Criston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Florentino Fernado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusebio Lapurdi was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After 39 minutes, Aureliano Rosario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ocampo and the Redonda AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aureliano Rosario hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Ildefonso Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ceferino Beremundo's late challenge caught a Redonda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceferino Beremundo helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Ocampo got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Beremundo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

53 minutes into the game, Dario Quinton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Redonda AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ocampo the free kick. Ocampo's Bernabe Jon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Redonda AFC. Aureliano Rosario struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Eusebio Lapurdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ocampo. Redonda AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Florentino Fernado scored to the left of an out of position Eusebio Lapurdi, making the score, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florentino Fernado in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebio Lapurdi saved Redonda AFC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robustiano Maxin during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Redonda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Maxin. Aristides Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Aballe, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Aureliano Rosario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Eusebio Lapurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
