Fernando Urbasa charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Urbasa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Viclos's Alfonso Nabar got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Firmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Montez in the 15th minute of play. Rogelio Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jacobo Firmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Firmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Lizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Nabar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Viclos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hermengildo Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Theobald having to interfere. 24 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Viclos's Alfonso Nabar fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When Rogelio Montez came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Montoya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Montez couldn't finish the play. After 30 played minutes Viclos got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Oliveiro. The attack was good, but when Norberto Lizar in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a rather tough play, Viclos's Jeremias Oliveiro got a free kick in the 39th minute. When Rogelio Montez came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Montoya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Montez couldn't finish the play. After having played for 46 minutes, Alfonso Nabar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viclos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Nabar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zacarias Cordaryal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Theobald having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Viclos's Jacobo Firmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Viclos from getting a goal against them. Hermengildo Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Theobald having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Viclos's zone, Rogelio Montez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Firmo came out of the goal and Rogelio Montez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes in the game, Norberto Lizar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jacobo Firmo having to interfere. Apolo Theobald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Nabar, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Alfonso Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Apolo Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viclos's Jacobo Firmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Viclos from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Hermengildo Paul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viclos's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Paul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Theobald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viclos's Alfonso Nabar got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Alfonso Nabar made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Theobald. Montoya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Montoya's Apolo Theobald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Nabar in the 88th minute of play. Rogelio Montez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Firmo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Viclos's Jeremias Oliveiro got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Montoya's Norberto Lizar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacobo Firmo. Jacobo Firmo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
