Leandro Tebaldo made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Godfredo Laffitte sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Muc in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Illan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Gilberto Muc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Genaro Nesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Illan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Godfredo Laffitte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Leandro Tebaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilberto Muc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Illan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Nesto in the 31st minute of the match. Filiberto Illan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Nesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Gilberto Muc scored 1-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Illan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Smith's Genaro Nesto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filiberto Illan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Smith booed when Benavídez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Gonchan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genaro Nesto to make the kick off. Feliberto Duardo's late challenge caught a Smith's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliberto Duardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Benavídez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Duardo to maneuver through the defense. Benavídez FC's Filiberto Illan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Benavídez FC from getting a goal against them. Wilfredo Egun kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Godfredo Laffitte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Leandro Tebaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Benavídez FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Diego Ralondo hit a great ball. Robustiano Martinez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Filiberto Illan. Benavídez FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Genaro Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Filiberto Illan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliberto Duardo was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Gilberto Muc came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Smith fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Muc couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Gilberto Muc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filiberto Illan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Gilberto Muc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Filiberto Illan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Nesto struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Filiberto Illan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smith. Filiberto Illan was a little too slow when Gilberto Muc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-3. After having played for 99 minutes, Severiano Musko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Musko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Smith left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Benavídez FC.
