With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Araoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hipatía's Modesto Vigil in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Berutti AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Modesto Vigil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Araoz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Bernardo Araoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Vigil in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Gregorio Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Araoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Modesto Vigil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Hipatía's Gregorio Faro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Araoz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Vigil in the 31st minute of play forced Berutti AFC's goalkeeper Bernardo Araoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Vigil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bernardo Araoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Ostadar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Prudencio Dimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hipatía booed when Berutti AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Bertin didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Modesto Vigil to strike the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Araoz having to interfere. Bernardo Araoz came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Hipatía's Gregorio Faro. But to his dismay, Gregorio Faro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hipatía's Gregorio Faro got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hipatía's Prudencio Dimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Chayo in the 64th minute of play. Raul Ostadar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prudencio Dimo having to make a save. 68 minutes into the game, Berutti AFC's Nunez Chayo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prudencio Dimo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Modesto Vigil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Vigil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Araoz having to interfere. Modesto Vigil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Araoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Bernardo Araoz came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Hipatía's Modesto Vigil. But to his dismay, Modesto Vigil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Hipatía's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
