But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Tximitx couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Calchaquí FC's Honorato Dominguez got control of the ball when Modesto Tximitx tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Calchaquí FC's zone, Modesto Tximitx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Dominguez came out of the goal and Modesto Tximitx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Evaristo Aztore fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trinchera's protests and gave Evaristo Aztore a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Trinchera's Evaristo Aztore got a free kick in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Calchaquí FC's Celestino Perico broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Humberto Tipi made the kick off in the second half. If Mario Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Calchaquí FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dionisio Goizeder hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Modesto Tximitx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Dominguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximo Eleazar during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Calchaquí FC's Maximo Eleazar got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Honorato Dominguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Tipi in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes in the game, Mario Otsoa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vladimiro Veto having to interfere. Honorato Dominguez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Tipi's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Argoitz during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Honorato Dominguez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Trinchera's Humberto Tipi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Calchaquí FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
