Cesar Crispo charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesar Crispo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Elortondo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Crispo to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Jaime Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Orain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Oxarra scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Perpinya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Elortondo AFC's Froilan Norino got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Lleir in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Orain saved Elortondo AFC from getting behind. Jaime Hulberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Viator charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Viator the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Figueroa getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Luciano Viator hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Norino in the 43rd minute of play forced Figueroa's goalkeeper Tomas Perpinya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Froilan Norino was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Elortondo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Belasko to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Lleir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Orain having to make a save. After 58 minutes, Hipolito Francho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Figueroa and the Elortondo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Elortondo AFC booed when Figueroa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Francho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Gustavo Oxarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elortondo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Oxarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Perpinya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ariel Peru fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Figueroa's protests and gave Ariel Peru a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute of the match Pablo Emmanuel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomas Perpinya showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernando Goi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonardo Orain. Elortondo AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Segundo Lleir's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leonardo Orain firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Elortondo AFC's Bartolo Quentin got a free kick in the 74th minute. Leonardo Orain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Hulberto's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Jaime Hulberto kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Froilan Norino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Figueroa got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Viator. 84 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Elortondo AFC's Froilan Norino fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 88th minute Froilan Norino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Perpinya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Froilan Norino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Froilan Norino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elortondo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Norino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
