With his leg Eusebio Rami managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Ranquilcó's Jaime Palos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 6 minutes into the match, Jaime Palos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Runciman's Eusebio Rami. Eusebio Rami was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Jaime Palos made a precise shot to the right of Eusebio Rami. Runciman's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Jacobo Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Runciman got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Sendoa. After having played for 20 minutes, Florentino Nafarroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranquilcó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentino Nafarroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacobo Ritchie in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusebio Rami prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jaime Palos came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ranquilcó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Palos couldn't finish the play. When Bernabe Eliazar fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranquilcó's protests and gave Bernabe Eliazar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ranquilcó getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Bernabe Eliazar hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adan Raebert during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute, one of Ranquilcó:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ranquilcó. The referee gave Runciman a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adan Sabino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ranquilcó's Teobaldo Tavio. 2-1. Jaime Palos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eusebio Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebio Rami made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Ritchie in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anastasio Rafel to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaime Palos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Rami having to interfere. Jacobo Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Rami having to interfere. If Jacobo Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Erruki came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teobaldo Tavio could save by the left post. Jaime Palos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Erruki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Tavio having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Runciman's Anastasio Rafel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teobaldo Tavio. Teobaldo Tavio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. With a little luck, Ranquilcó's Teobaldo Tavio got control of the ball when Cristian Erruki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Runciman succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ranquilcó had controlled the match.
