Cristian Erruki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Chap having to interfere. Anastasio Rafel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Rafel in the 11th minute of play forced Herreria's goalkeeper Sebastian Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Cordarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eusebio Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Cristian Erruki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runciman's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Erruki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Chap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gilberto Sol came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Herreria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Sol couldn't finish the play. Gilberto Sol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anibal Atauri kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Erruki got free with Sebastian Chap in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Herreria's goalkeeper Sebastian Chap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nunez Sendoa. In the 41st minute Anastasio Rafel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Chap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Anastasio Rafel made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Herreria's Melchor Bernard seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Melchor Bernard the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Herreria protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Melchor Bernard had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Herreria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Runciman:s goal. Sebastian Chap had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Adan Sabino's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Anastasio Rafel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sebastian Chap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Erruki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusebio Rami didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herreria. The audience was convinced that Anastasio Rafel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Chap was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 92 minutes, Francisco Cordarin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herreria and the Runciman players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Herreria fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Runciman a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adan Sabino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Herreria's Sebastian Chap. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Anastasio Rafel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runciman's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Rafel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Chap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anastasio Rafel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Runciman had won after a very even match.
