Aquilino Ignatius's late challenge caught a Chañaritos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Ignatius helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Berraondo's Aquilino Ignatius got a free kick in the 36th minute. Uriel Uxio kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 37thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Berraondo's keeper Ildefonso Frederik was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 40th minute, Victor Maule hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Berraondo's zone, Haroldo Donio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ildefonso Frederik came out of the goal and Haroldo Donio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Berraondo's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Donio came free, but Ildefonso Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Oto was the one to do the kick off. Omar Remigio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Oto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Haroldo Donio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chañaritos's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Donio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ildefonso Frederik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berraondo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
