The referee ignored Victorica's protests and gave Severino Orlo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Victorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Orlo to maneuver through the defense. Victorica's Segundo Beturian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Micael in the 4th minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Baldomero Ferdinand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Victorica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vertientes the free kick. The supporters of Vertientes booed when Victorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Ferdinand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enzo Claude sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vertientes's Eusebio Bieito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Gaspard in the 10th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Victorica's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Micael came free, but Segundo Beturian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Victorica's goalkeeper Segundo Beturian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enzo Claude sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiburcio Micael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Segundo Beturian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Claude fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Beturian having to interfere. Tiburcio Micael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Tiburcio Micael managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vertientes's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiburcio Micael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Beturian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patricio Botello charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Botello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Victorica getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Patricio Botello hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
If Tiburcio Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Micael in the 55th minute of play forced Victorica's goalkeeper Segundo Beturian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vertientes's zone, Placido Gaspard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Bieito came out of the goal and Placido Gaspard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the game, Placido Gaspard lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Eusebio Bieito. 66 minutes into the game, Victor Eudoxio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Eusebio Bieito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Baldomero Ferdinand was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Enzo Claude managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vertientes's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Claude was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Beturian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Micael in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Beturian saved Victorica from getting behind. 88 minutes into the game, Placido Gaspard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Victorica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vertientes the free kick. After 88 played minutes Victorica got a freekick which was hit by Placido Gaspard. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Victorica's goalie and right to Eustacio Ignatius. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Victorica's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tiburcio Micael managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vertientes's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiburcio Micael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Beturian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Victorica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
