Carmelo Lidon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Gotzon in the 24th minute. In the 31st minute Reynaldo Cuartio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Lidon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leonardo Poncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo Lidon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jose Gotzon went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Leonardo Poncio made the kick off in the second half. Jose Gotzon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Carmelo Lidon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Caspinchango AFC booed when Castilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Jerano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Odon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Paulo Odon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Castilla's Leonardo Poncio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
