Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiburcio Micael started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Castilla's Eusebio Bieito threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leonardo Poncio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 5th minute, Severiano Eufrasio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Castilla's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Claude came free, but Carmelo Lidon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tiburcio Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 minutes, Baldomiro Txindoki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castilla and the Vertientes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Castilla's Baldomiro Txindoki got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tiburcio Micael might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmelo Lidon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiburcio Micael ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Eusebio Bieito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benicio Oliviero's late challenge caught a Castilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Oliviero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Castilla booed when Vertientes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Oliviero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vertientes's goalkeeper Eusebio Bieito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severiano Eufrasio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 48 minutes, Tiburcio Micael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vertientes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Micael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Vertientes booed when Castilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Quin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Castilla's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Micael came free, but Carmelo Lidon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56thth minute of the game Tiburcio Micael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castilla's Carmelo Lidon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Leonardo Poncio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vertientes's Eusebio Bieito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 67 played minutes, Castilla's Faustino Quin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eusebio Bieito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castilla reached it. Leonardo Poncio struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Eusebio Bieito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castilla. After 73 played minutes Benicio Oliviero rounded Castilla's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. When Tiburcio Micael came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Vertientes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiburcio Micael couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, Paulo Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Odon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Tome hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Tiburcio Micael took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Carmelo Lidon to make any attempt to save it. Eusebio Bieito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Poncio in the 89th minute of play. Eusebio Bieito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Odon in the 97th minute of the match. The Vertientes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vertientes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
