Agustin Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Maura having to interfere. Bernardino Caton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Orlondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Bernardino Caton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Orlondo's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Agustin Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Maura having to interfere. Alfredo Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardino Caton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Paio in the 25th minute. Agustin Castel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Agustin Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aureliano Elixio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Retiro's Jorge Orlondo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aureliano Elixio to strike the kick off in the second half. Esteban Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Elixio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Agustin Castels short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Esteban Maura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Agustin Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Maura having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Aureliano Elixio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simogasta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliano Elixio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Jorge Orlondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66thth minute of the game Aureliano Elixio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Retiro's Esteban Maura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th match minute, Simogasta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Locaio to maneuver through the defense. Bernardino Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Paio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Retiro's Esteban Maura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Retiro from getting a goal against them. After 74 played minutes Retiro got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Henry. If Jorge Orlondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jorge Orlondo sped through Simogasta AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardino Caton. Alfredo Paio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bernardino Caton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Simogasta AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Retiro.
