Fabiano FC's Carlos Quilo got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute Oscar Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Amato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Chorche in the 10th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Oscar Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Amato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thames AFC's Generoso Amato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Diaz in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Fabiano FC's Oscar Diaz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Generoso Amato was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Oscar Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabiano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Diaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Generoso Amato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th play minute Jose Felo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Antonio Pello. 1-2. Oscar Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Chorche to make the kick off. Honorato Cambranes's late challenge caught a Thames AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Cambranes helped the player get up and apologised. Honorato Cambranes hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Antonio Pello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Felo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Inocencio Nahia fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thames AFC's protests and gave Inocencio Nahia a yellow card for diving instead. Oscar Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Amato having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Thames AFC's goalkeeper Generoso Amato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Quilo. After having played for 76 minutes, Leopoldo Chorche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thames AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Chorche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leopoldo Chorche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Antonio Pello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Pello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Chorche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Nahia hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Luis Nerio's late challenge caught a Fabiano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Nerio helped the player get up and apologised. 85 minutes into the game, one of Thames AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Fabiano FC's Oscar Diaz got a free kick in the 90th minute. Antonio Pello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Felo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The Fabiano FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fabiano FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
