Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arturo Isusko kicked off to start the match. Baltasar Damario's late challenge caught a Deportivo Toluca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Ireno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Cordarrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Conrado Clis fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Toluca FC's protests and gave Conrado Clis a yellow card for diving instead. Conrado Clis kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Anchorena's Patricio Oriche broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Anchorena's Aquiles Bernaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Anchorena's zone, Blas Hitzeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Ireno came out of the goal and Blas Hitzeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonso Cordarrel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Cordarrel in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Aquiles Bernaldo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 43rd minute, Patricio Oriche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arturo Isusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Alfonso Cordarrel made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Deportivo Toluca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Isusko came free, but Celso Goyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anchorena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Bernaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aquiles Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Bernaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Hitzeder got free with Abel Ireno in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aquiles Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Goyo having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Feliberto Castulo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Blas Hitzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
