After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Eustacio Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campeones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Toribio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Gotzon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blas Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Toluca FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tadeo Truylos hit a great ball. Blas Feliz in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Constantino Gotzon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Victoro in the 22nd minute of play forced Campeones FC's goalkeeper Julian Madeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Blas Feliz fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campeones FC's protests and gave Blas Feliz a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Campeones FC got a freekick which was hit by Blas Feliz. Cristo Arotza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Madeo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Campeones FC's Blas Feliz came free and shot a quick shot against goal 44 minutes in the game, fortunately Constantino Gotzon had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Florentino Juvenal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Julian Madeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristo Arotza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Julian Madeo made a huge save. Campeones FC's Julian Madeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Victoro in the 58th minute of play. Julian Madeo was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Rodolfo Bartoleme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rodolfo Bartoleme really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Julian Madeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Bartoleme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Campeones FC's Julian Madeo got control of the ball when Cristo Arotza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Constantino Gotzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Feliz in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Campeones FC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Elizardo. Campeones FC's Blas Feliz managed to work through Toluca FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Blas Feliz dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 77th minute Blas Feliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Gotzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Bartoleme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Julian Madeo made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Campeones FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristo Arotza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Julian Madeo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Bartoleme in the 84th minute of the match. When Blas Feliz got free in front of the goal in the 87th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Constantino Gotzon was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Blas Feliz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Cristo Arotza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeo Truylos kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Campeones FC booed when Toluca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Truylos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
