In the 16thth minute of the game Hector James who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético San Bernabe FC's Arnaldo Galoer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ignacio Cuarto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector James in the 20th minute of play forced Atlético San Bernabe FC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Galoer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaias Hernando hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 0-2 became the score in the 27th minute when Ignacio Cuarto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Arnaldo Galoer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector James's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Arnaldo Galoer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector James in the 32nd minute of play. In the 39th minute, Ignacio Cuarto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emilio Muno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector James was the one to do the kick off. Arnaldo Galoer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Cuarto in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Ignacio Cuarto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Galoer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 59 minutes into the match, Atlético San Bernabe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector James came free, but Arnaldo Galoer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Cuarto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo Galoer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Ignacio Cuarto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Arnaldo Galoer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Emilio Muno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Ignacio Cuarto made a precise shot to the right of Arnaldo Galoer. Atlético San Bernabe FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When Ignacio Cuarto came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Retamito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Cuarto couldn't finish the play. Atlético San Bernabe FC's Arnaldo Galoer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector James in the 78th minute of play. Ignacio Cuarto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo Galoer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Arnaldo Galoer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector James in the 84th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Isaias Hernando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético San Bernabe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Retamito FC the free kick. A collision led to Atlético San Bernabe FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Isaias Hernando hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Ignacio Cuarto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retamito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Cuarto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnaldo Galoer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector James in the 89th minute of play. Arnaldo Galoer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector James, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ignacio Cuarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Retamito FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
