Cleto Jaunzuria came out of the goal and Baldomiro Havier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Hechter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Jaunzuria having to interfere. After some careless play in the América defense, Ramon Baldovino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cleto Jaunzuria. The América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cleto Jaunzuria should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, América's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Baldovino came free, but Cleto Jaunzuria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Leonardo Udalaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The América fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Aureliano Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 30 minutes, Leonardo Udalaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. América's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Udalaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tambillos AFC's Tadeo Eztebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Tambillos AFC from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Udalaitz to make the kick off. Cleto Jaunzuria was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ramon Baldovino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 51 minute of play. Cleto Jaunzuria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Baldovino, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Havier got free with Cleto Jaunzuria in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When América's Leonardo Udalaitz in 83 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Tadeo Eztebe guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Conrado Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Tambillos AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than América.
