The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Fernan Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. Adan Lander kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Amador Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dalmacio Elija. Aicuña's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amador Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Damian Bela kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Amador Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aicuña's Dalmacio Elija was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Feliberto Aballe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Bernaldo having to interfere. Angel Osasun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Amador Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Amador Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Dalmacio Elija. Aicuña's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 42 minutes into the match Feliberto Aballe climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Pablo Bernaldo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amador Cordeiro made a kick off. In the 55th minute Aicuña were awarded a corner. Jonas Louis went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Espartanos de San Luis booed when Aicuña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Salomone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Aballe in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Espartanos de San Luis's Amador Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmacio Elija narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Aicuña got a freekick which was hit by Adan Lander. 64 minutes into the match, Amador Cordeiro notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Aicuña's Dalmacio Elija. Dalmacio Elija was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Feliberto Aballe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Elija made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Fernan Danel sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Espartanos de San Luis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! If Amador Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pablo Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Osasun in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Espartanos de San Luis's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Aballe came free, but Pablo Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Amador Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Danel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Elija having to interfere. 99 minutes into the match, Aicuña's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Cordeiro came free, but Dalmacio Elija reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
