Elpidio Caitano hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of Duraznito booed when Cachí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Beremundo, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Haroldo Bilintx successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gaudencio Elizardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Lastur in the 30th minute of play forced Duraznito's goalkeeper Joel Omero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Luciano Tancredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachí's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Tancredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gaudencio Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Cachí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Frans to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Rodolfo Eneas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Bilintx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Lastur in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Omero saved Duraznito from getting behind. In the 44th minute of the match Cachí got a corner. Duraznito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dante Bartolome ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Cachí's corner Dante Bartolome fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joel Omero quite easily take care of the ball. After 47 minutes of play, Cachí's Gaudencio Elizardo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Omero was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Eneas to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Duraznito's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Lastur came free, but Joel Omero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Omero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Lastur in the 56th minute of play. Cachí's Haroldo Bilintx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Eneas in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Luciano Tancredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cachí and the Duraznito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodolfo Eneas might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haroldo Bilintx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
