The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Peyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bonifacio Pierres was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 21st match minute, Simbolar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Federigo to maneuver through the defense. Braulio Justin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Amancio Jaunti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Orkatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Orkatz in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Jaunti saved CRUZ AZUL FC from getting behind. Angelo Urdin's late challenge caught a Simbolar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Urdin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CRUZ AZUL FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Angelo Urdin hit a great ball. Angelo Urdin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bonifacio Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alonzo Orkatz was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, CRUZ AZUL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Orkatz came free, but Amancio Jaunti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alonzo Orkatz in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Jaunti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ezequiel Peyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Pierres having to interfere. If Clemente Cordeara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Angelo Urdin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Pierres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CRUZ AZUL FC's zone, Alonzo Orkatz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Jaunti came out of the goal and Alonzo Orkatz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alonzo Orkatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Amancio Jaunti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amancio Jaunti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Orkatz in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ezequiel Peyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CRUZ AZUL FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Peyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bonifacio Pierres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Delmiro Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alonzo Orkatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
