Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eugenio Abel started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Eustacio Gomesano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Rufio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Milagro's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Abel came free, but Godofredo Innocenzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafin Rufio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Matai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ermegildo Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Milagro fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Milagro's Eustacio Gomesano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Teo Sustrai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godofredo Innocenzio having to make a save. In the 28th minute, Milagro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Teo Sustrai fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Abel in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godofredo Innocenzio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute, Teo Sustrai fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Teo Sustrai came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Médano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Sustrai couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Milagro's goalkeeper Godofredo Innocenzio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teo Sustrai. Serafin Rufio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Gomesano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Milagro were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Eugenio Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Godofredo Innocenzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustacio Gomesano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute Teo Sustrai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Innocenzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teo Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Teo Sustrai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Innocenzio. Milagro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teo Sustrai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Godofredo Innocenzio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Abel, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Sustrai in the 80th minute of play forced Milagro's goalkeeper Godofredo Innocenzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eustacio Gomesano might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serafin Rufio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eustacio Gomesano ran back to his position shaking his head. The Milagro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Milagro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
