The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Mineros FC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Tavio. Urbano Lauren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Tavio in the 6th minute of play. Bernabe Rainerio's late challenge caught a Mineros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Rainerio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Retiro FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Bernabe Rainerio hit a great ball. Urbano Lauren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Tavio in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Benjamin Vellito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Vellito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot by Fernando Lando from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Danilo Eron's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ernesto Gaitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Eron having to interfere. Justino Ignazio hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Romulo Efraim hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Mineros FC's Danilo Eron got control of the ball when Benjamin Vellito tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anibal Tavio was the one to do the kick off. Urbano Lauren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Tavio in the 54th minute of play. Justino Ignazio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urbano Lauren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 68th minute Ernesto Gaitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Eron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Retiro FC booed when Mineros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Efraim didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes in the game, Ernesto Gaitano dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 80 minutes, Anibal Tavio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mineros FC and the Retiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anibal Tavio hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Anibal Tavio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Lauren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romulo Efraim hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Retiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Chuan. In the 98th minute of the match Fernando Lando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Eron skillfully saved the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
