When Javier Rosio came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Manantiales AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Rosio couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Javier Rosio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Generoso Chap hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Johans, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Rosendo Veremundo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guerrero's protests and gave Rosendo Veremundo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Guerrero getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rosendo Veremundo hit a great ball. Hugo Fortun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simon Iigo. Guerrero's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonatan Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Guerrero's Generoso Chap nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Vermudo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Javier Rosio to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonatan Johans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Simon Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonatan Johans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Simon Iigo made a huge save. Simon Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Rosio in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Enzo Ubarna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Iigo. Guerrero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Ubarna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Javier Rosio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Iigo was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Jonatan Johans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Simon Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jonatan Johans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manantiales AFC's Jonatan Johans got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simon Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Eneas, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 90th minute, Ernesto Videl sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Manantiales AFC's Cornelio Vermudo didn't even have to move. After some careless play in the Guerrero defense, Jonatan Johans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Iigo. The Guerrero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Iigo should have stopped the shot. The Manantiales AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manantiales AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
