Marcelo Abadie scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cirilo Lucian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Lucero in the 23rd minute of play forced Berduc FC's goalkeeper Cirilo Lucian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Berduc FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Tiniebra to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Abadie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Lucian having to interfere. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Roque Seguinus with Mauro Lucero as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in Berduc FC's zone, Mauro Lucero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Lucian came out of the goal and Mauro Lucero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Abadie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Abadie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Club Pumas UNAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berduc FC the free kick. The Berduc FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Pumas UNAM were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
