Ciro Sindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Francho in the 14th minute of the match. Domingos Balesio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Pes having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Andres Francho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Sindo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Otoniel in the 38th minute of play forced Parera's goalkeeper Felipe Pes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Otoniel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Felipe Pes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Parera were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Otoniel made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Hernan Lucila took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Ciro Sindo to make any attempt to save it. When Domingos Balesio came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Balesio couldn't finish the play. When Paulo Vela fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Paulo Vela a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Sindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Francho, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Andres Francho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ciro Sindo, 0-3. Felipe Pes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Balesio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Jacindo charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Jacindo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Andres Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Lucas Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Parera's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
