The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leones's Esteve Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Admon in the 3rd minute of play. Esteve Nesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Txilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Teo Cordarell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Enekoitz having to interfere. Haroldo Tab hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblo's zone, Adolfo Cordareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Enekoitz came out of the goal and Adolfo Cordareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Pueblo's goalkeeper Abel Enekoitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Cordareo. If Adolfo Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Enekoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Cordarell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Admon took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esteve Nesto. Esteve Nesto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Ermegildo Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Admon struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Esteve Nesto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pueblo. Esteve Nesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Tab in the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Tab's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Nesto was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Leones's Esteve Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Txilar in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Cordareo in the 53rd minute of play forced Pueblo's goalkeeper Abel Enekoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnulfo Isusko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Pueblo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leones:s goal. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Leones. Geronimo Eyague stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abel Enekoitz. 1-1. Teo Cordarell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Abel Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ermegildo Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes, Inocencio Paskal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leones and the Pueblo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Inocencio Paskal kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Leones's Esteve Nesto got control of the ball when Ermegildo Txilar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Pueblo's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Cordareo came free, but Abel Enekoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ermegildo Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Txilar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Esteve Nesto made a huge save. Fabio Froylan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, Leones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Paskal to maneuver through the defense. When Fabio Froylan came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Pueblo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Froylan couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Martxelin kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Pueblo's Felix Cordaryal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
