Cristian Olentzaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Cristian Olentzaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristian Olentzaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Candido Ramone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Cristian Olentzaro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Corrientes FC's Everardo Etxahun. Everardo Etxahun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Galo during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, one of Corrientes FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corrientes FC. The referee gave Guaraní a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marciano Peio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Corrientes FC's Everardo Etxahun. 0-2. Everardo Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Marques in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Corrientes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Ramone to maneuver through the defense. Everardo Etxahun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Bitxintxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

A collision led to Guaraní getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Venancio Perfecto hit a great ball. Samuel Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Gelacio hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Corrientes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Marques came free, but Everardo Etxahun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Olentzaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Everardo Etxahun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 75 minutes, Samuel Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corrientes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Argina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guaraní's zone, Samuel Argina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Iztal came out of the goal and Samuel Argina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a defensive mix-up in Corrientes FC's zone, Abelardo Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Argina in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guaraní walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
