Yanimas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castellanos AFC the free kick. 17 minutes into the game, one of Yanimas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Castellanos AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Guaberto George hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Wilfredo Iliana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Yanimas fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Yanimas's Gonzalo Orlin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Moises Isadore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Satordi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Satordi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Moises Isadore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Wilfredo Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Todor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonzalo Orlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Todor having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Yanimas's Wilfredo Iliana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adan Todor. Adan Todor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Wilfredo Iliana made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Marcos Satordi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Moises Isadore saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute, Gonzalo Orlin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yanimas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
