Benigno Bras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Garci, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Benigno Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Garci in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match, Marcelino Jorrin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Victorino Benino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Remigio Garci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ameghino's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigio Garci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Bras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benigno Bras stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remigio Garci's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Guaberto Gustau's late challenge caught a Ameghino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guaberto Gustau helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Upinango AFC got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Gustau. Benigno Bras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Garci in the 30th minute of the match. When Adolfo Manny fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Upinango AFC's protests and gave Adolfo Manny a yellow card for diving instead. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Upinango AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonatan Feliz was slow to take the kick. During this time Ameghino's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Segundo Inautzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benigno Bras quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guillermo Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Joseph in the 41st minute of play forced Upinango AFC's goalkeeper Benigno Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes, Siro Misael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Upinango AFC and the Ameghino players grew even worse after the yellow card. Siro Misael hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Eguerdi to make the kick off. Ameghino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Upinango AFC the free kick. The supporters of Upinango AFC booed when Ameghino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Garci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Segundo Inautzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Remigio Garci was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Ameghino's Remigio Garci got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Samuel Eguerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Guillermo Pitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelino Jorrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Benino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Desiderio Mambru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ameghino's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
