Laguna Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casimiro Ted was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Baldomiro Ubendu struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Ivan Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laguna Athletic. After 12 played minutes Yacanto got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Lop. If Francisco Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruperto Etxepare made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Baldomiro Ubendu however managed to control. If Baldomiro Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Yacanto's zone, Leonides Birjaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Valente came out of the goal and Leonides Birjaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laguna Athletic's Baldomiro Ubendu got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baldomiro Ubendu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Ivan Valente skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Baldomiro Ubendu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Valente. Yacanto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ulises Elizardo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Baldomiro Ubendus short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Ivan Valente to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Baldomiro Ubendu struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ivan Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laguna Athletic. Ivan Valente stood somewhat misplaced when Baldomiro Ubendu came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 39 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Baldomiro Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomiro Ubendu in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Valente saved Yacanto from getting behind. Ulises Elizardo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Laguna Athletic's Baldomiro Ubendu tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roberto Feo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Valente having to interfere. Anselmo Mark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Remigio Madaleno made a huge save. Remigio Madaleno was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Arnaldo Salvadore. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomiro Ubendu in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Valente saved Yacanto from getting behind. After 80 minutes of play Yacanto's Ulises Elizardo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ulises Elizardo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Leonides Birjaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ivan Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Laguna Athletic's Baldomiro Ubendu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Valente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 95 minutes of play, Laguna Athletic's Francisco Ugutz made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Valente was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Laguna Athletic were the better team. Laguna Athletic's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
