The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lincoln's Cleto Soter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Kepa in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Lincoln booed when Ringuelet AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Nayely didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Cisco might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cleto Soter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Cisco ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Celestino Cisco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleto Soter was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 22ndth minute of the game Celestino Cisco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lincoln's Cleto Soter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Lincoln's Roque Quintun threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Martin Chabier, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 27 minutes of play, Ringuelet AFC's Virgilio Kepa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cleto Soter was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Ringuelet AFC booed when Lincoln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Argoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Celestino Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Soter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleto Soter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Cisco, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Cleto Soter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Kepa in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Lincoln's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Cisco came free, but Cleto Soter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Virgilio Kepa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Soter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Chabier made a kick off. Virgilio Kepa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Quintun didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Lincoln's Martin Chabier shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Alfonso Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 80 played minutes Ringuelet AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Buinton. After having played for 85 minutes, Virgilio Kepa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ringuelet AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Kepa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Kepa in the 87th minute of play forced Lincoln's goalkeeper Cleto Soter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th match minute, Ringuelet AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Nayely to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lincoln getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Adan Domenec hit a great ball. Cleto Soter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Kepa in the 98th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
