Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Albino Telmo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Denis Kiliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Nayely, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Esquina FC's Silverio Eder got a free kick in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Telmo in the 10th minute of play forced Petronila AFC's goalkeeper Ruperto Iratze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Albino Telmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esquina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Telmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Iratze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denis Kiliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Nayely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Donato Nayely came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Petronila AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Nayely couldn't finish the play. Lino Gaur struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Denis Kiliz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petronila AFC. Denis Kiliz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Gaur in the 27th minute. Donato Nayely blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Kiliz having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amador Phelipe in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Iratze saved Petronila AFC from getting behind. Donato Nayely might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denis Kiliz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donato Nayely ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute, Donato Nayely fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Denis Kiliz, passed just outside the right post. Lino Gaur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Nayely stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cosme Manny hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Esteve Toro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Denis Kiliz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Esquina FC's Denis Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Gaur in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Petronila AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Telmo came free, but Ruperto Iratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Nayely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Petronila AFC's Luciano Birila got a free kick in the 67th minute. Silverio Eder kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Denis Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Nayely in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Silverio Eder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Lino Gaur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amador Phelipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ruperto Iratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Donato Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruperto Iratze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amador Phelipe in the 95th minute. The Esquina FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esquina FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
