The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cortadera's Ariel Ibar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Sabino in the 4th minute of play. Yatay FC's Delmar Jerold got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fermin Remicio kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Albano Janpier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Janpier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Delmiro Romano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Romano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Baldovino in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edgardo Sabino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Ibar was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. If Delmar Jerold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yatay FC's Delmiro Romano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Yatay FC from getting a goal against them. If Edgardo Sabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Cortadera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Cristofol to maneuver through the defense. Yatay FC's Edgardo Sabino got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cortadera's Silvano Cristofol got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Sabino in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Ibar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgardo Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Ekaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Ekaitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Albano Janpier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cortadera's goalkeeper Ariel Ibar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67thth minute of the game Eusebio Baldovino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yatay FC's Delmiro Romano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Yatay FC's zone, Albano Janpier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Romano came out of the goal and Albano Janpier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusebio Baldovino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Romano having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Mario Guillerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Ekaitz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Yatay FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cortadera from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
