If Angelo Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Lobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Guillerme kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Mineros Zacatecas's Fernan Tristan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Yatay FC. Angelo Petrigai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Delmiro Romano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mineros Zacatecas's Cipriano Itzaina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mineros Zacatecas from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Haitz during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Yatay FC's Christian Haitz got a free kick in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Sabino in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Itzaina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, Yatay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Lobo came free, but Delmiro Romano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgardo Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Itzaina was a little too slow when Edgardo Sabino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Mineros Zacatecas's Cipriano Itzaina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Sabino in the 37th minute of play. Delmar Jerolds short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Cipriano Itzaina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 47th minute, Angelo Petrigai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Edgardo Sabino made the kick off in the second half. Delmar Jerold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 78th minute Edgardo Sabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Itzaina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmar Jerold struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Cipriano Itzaina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yatay FC. 81 minutes into the match, Yatay FC's goalkeeper Delmiro Romano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Lobo. 82 minutes into the match, Yatay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Petrigai came free, but Delmiro Romano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgardo Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Itzaina having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mineros Zacatecas's zone, Edgardo Sabino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Itzaina came out of the goal and Edgardo Sabino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmiro Romano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Petrigai, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
