In the 6th minute, Carolo Sengrat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honorio Lizbeth hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Tadeo Erasto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Ted, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaudencio Ted in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Erasto saved Pontevedra from getting behind. Emanuel Crescencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Federigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alfredo Diaz fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palma AFC's protests and gave Alfredo Diaz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Alfredo Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Federigo got free with Emanuel Crescencio in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21 played minutes, Palma AFC's Justo Firmin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tadeo Erasto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palma AFC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Ted in the 26th minute of play forced Pontevedra's goalkeeper Tadeo Erasto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleto Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tadeo Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Crescencio made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Aquiles Federigo sent off a good shot on target. Pontevedra's Tadeo Erasto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Diaz in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Aquiles Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontevedra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Federigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Froilan Hunfredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 minutes of play Palma AFC's Alfredo Diaz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Alfredo Diaz kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Aquiles Federigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Emanuel Crescencio made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Froilan Hunfredo made the kick off in the second half. If Froilan Hunfredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleto Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Erasto having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pontevedra's goalkeeper Tadeo Erasto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cleto Fernanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeo Erasto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cleto Fernanco ran back to his position shaking his head. Tadeo Erasto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Bembe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aquiles Federigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palma AFC's Emanuel Crescencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Hunfredo in the 68th minute of play. Aquiles Federigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Pontevedra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palma AFC:s goal. Pontevedra's Tadeo Erasto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Pontevedra from getting a goal against them. Cleto Fernanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeo Erasto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cleto Fernanco ran back to his position shaking his head. Emanuel Crescencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Federigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Pontevedra walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
