In the 8th minute, Amador Xabat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eleuterio Shantala in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Gilabert saved Medanitos from getting behind. The supporters of Bolívar FC booed when Medanitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Martxelin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Medanitos's Anselmo Marko managed to work through Bolívar FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Anselmo Marko dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 55th minute, Anselmo Marko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Medanitos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Baltasar Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolívar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Liher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Gilabert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfredo Cresencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Marko in the 60th minute of the match. Epifanio Gilabert made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Baltasar Liher sent off a good shot on target. Adan Lizardi kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Baltasar Liher took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Epifanio Gilabert. Epifanio Gilabert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolívar FC's goalkeeper Godfredo Cresencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Placido Maore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godfredo Cresencio was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Baltasar Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adan Lizardi's late challenge caught a Bolívar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adan Lizardi helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Medanitos got a freekick which was hit by Adan Lizardi. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Medanitos! Delmiro Bernaldo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Epifanio Gilabert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmiro Bernaldo's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
