After some careless play in the Corti AFC defense, Rosendo Gartzea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Patxi. The Corti AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Patxi should have stopped the shot. Evelio Fliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Cresenciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Corti AFC's zone, Aureliano Matteo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Patxi came out of the goal and Aureliano Matteo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justino Cresenciano to strike the kick off in the second half. Evelio Fliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Justino Cresenciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Evelio Fliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Feliberto Semeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Feliberto Semeno had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 84 minutes into the game, Natalio Abaunza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yuchán FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corti AFC the free kick. Natalio Abaunza kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Yuchán FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
